Return to Sender x

The '5am' Hampshire artist collective has been beavering away again. We have successfully bid for funding to exhibit the results of our most recent project (officially unnamed but affectionately known as 'Return to Sender') at an event called 'Making It' at the Winchester Discovery Centre in October. It's a correspondence project where one artist begins a piece and then sends it on to another collective member who expands upon the work, adding their layer of narrative, and so on - kind of like a game of 'Consequences' for artists/makers! I think the results will be really intriguing... All of the work has been based around the theme of rural idyll, inspired by the stunning Hampshire landscape we are surrounded by. 'Making It' will be a glorious mixture of speakers, conferences, workshops, installations etc and should be great fun to visit so keep an eye on their website (www3.hants.gov.uk/wdc/) for further details.
