Natural beauties

The weather has been so crazy these past few days; we had torrential rain, driving snow and then glorious sunshine all within a few hours of each other at the weekend. It's a miracle that any plant dare peep out from beneath the earth! I thought that you might enjoy seeing some images of the beautiful area where my studio is based in Micheldever, Hampshire. In January our churchyard comes alive with large swathes of dainty snowdrops, which are quickly followed by golden daffodils. We also have one of the best bluebell woods in the country within walking distance - the forest floor becomes a hazy blue sea! Finally, there's the red riot of poppies shown off beautifully by the chalk footpaths that crisscross our landscape. Here's to a long, warm summer for us all ...
